How to Organize Your Bathroom In 4 Steps

How to organize your bathroom in 4 steps…the right way!

If you follow me on instagram, you can see more of this process in my stories under the “Bathroom” highlight. Keep reading for how to declutter and organize your bathroom in 4 steps. We gave this client a bathroom refresh after they had accumulated a lot of stuff over the years.

1. Take everything out

Taking everything out may seem like a daunting task, but it needs to be done! The contents might surprise you!

2. Sort similar toiletries and items together.

After emptying all of the drawers, go through items one-by-one and sort similar items together. It helps to spread out while doing this; I used the floor of the bedroom to lay everything out. At this point, throw away any expired items and donate extra products you no longer use in good condition.

3. Clean as you go.

Cleaning and organizing go hand in hand…shout out to Go Clean Co. for teaching me so may cleaning tips! We washed the bins once they were empty to allow for a fresh clean start. It’s also a good idea to give the toiletries themselves a wash or wipe-down.

4. Use containers to keep items organized.

Try using what you already have when it comes to containers; my client had these great clear stacking drawer organizers. When putting everything back, it’s important to account for your habits. We stored frequently used items, or “high touch” items on the top layer of organizers and put less-frequently used items underneath.

In a smaller drawer, there were several extra toothbrushes and toothpaste taking up valuable real estate. We relocated these to the guest room. What do you think of this before and after? Let me know in the comments!
